A.C.V. Miro
Formerly known as the C.A.S. Valkyrie is a one hundred and twenty foot light flat bottom frigate with a unique twin engine propulsion system. It was commissioned by Confederate Secretary of the Navy Stephen Mallory and built in France during the early days of the war. It was not completed until late 1862, and had to be rushed into service with only its main gun installed. It engaged in many battles across the Atlantic and aided as a troop transport in many of the Eastern theaters engagements. In early 1864 it was severely crippled by cannon fire while attempted to carry supplies to the Army of Northern Virginia. However, it was repaired in the Shreveport, La where it was charted to Pierre LaLaurie, a relative of the infamous New Orleanian socialite and a member of the Knights of the Golden Circle. The ship then set sail for New Orleans along with three others under the guise of British Merchant ships, but where laden with means to take back the city. However, the plan went awry resulting in the death of LaLaurie and the ship coming under the possession of Ambrose and Ora Brightmore and Mordecai Ramsey. Since then it has been reclassified as an Air Cargo Vessel out of the French possession in Polynesia.
Ambrose Ezkiel Brightmore
Occupation: Captain and Chief Enforcer of the Miro
Ambrose is a slightly stoic and quiet individual who only
became captain of the Miro through luck, necessity, and being
the one who knew how to fly the ship. He is a master navigator,
and can get his crew to where they need to go to find work,
and do so quick. Born in Monroe, La he was the son of a river
boat captain and grew up around ships. He is the youngest
of three sons, and the only one to survive his involvement
in the U.S. Civil War, due to his desertion after the Battle
of Mansfield. Ambrose served as a front line infantry man after
being shanghaied into the Louisiana Tigers under Major Wheat.
He took pride in serving under Gen. Robert E. Lee, much as
his father had under him in the Mexican American War, but
never agreed with the idea of Succession. Ambrose, much like
many of his fellow shock troopers, was a terror on the field
and what all he had to do in his service of the Army of Northern
Virginia is unknown. He was alter transferred to the Trans-Mississippi
Department shortly before the battle of Cold Harbor, due to
unmentionable actions. He is a capable fighter with both
saber and gun, but only does so when it is necessary. He
is noted for being trustworthy, hardworking, and direct as
well as more than a little bit drunk.
Ora Cecilia Brightmore
Occupation: Business Manager and Quarter Master
Ora was born in Warsaw, but lived most of her life under
either Hapsburg or Prussian rule. She was the daughter of
staunch patriots, but was orphaned early on. She grew up in
a Catholic Orphanage and learned the arts of writing and
painting from one of the friendlier nuns. She immigrated to
the United States during the last year of the American Civil
War, and ended up in the port of New Orleans on the eve of
a Confederate sneak attack aimed at retaking the city. Ora
ended up on the Miro when her hotel came under attack because
of two of the other tenets. She fled with the two gentlemen
out of fear of arrest and being shot. She functions as the
ships cook, business manager, and runs the only legal business
on the boat, an artist gallery. She developed an interest
Ambrose years after being on the ship, her exact reason known
only to her. Ora and Ambrose where married in early 1870.
James Mordecai Ramsey
Occupation: First Officer and Chief Engineer
Mordecai was born somewhere in the Atchafalaya River Basin,
but moved up to the city of Monroe, La with his family to
find work on the rail lines. He grew up working along side
his father on engines and learned quickly how steam driven
devices worked. When the American Civil War arose his father
was drafted as was he, though he was only twelves at the time.
Mordecai served as an artillery loader for the majority of
his time in the Trans-Mississippi department, and served at
the Battle of Pea Ridge, Milkins Bend, and Mansfield. It was
at the last battle his father was killed, and the young man
made up his mind to flee his service life, for he never was
a true supporter of the "Southern Cause." Along
with his childhood friend Ambrose Brightmore, he left after
the Battle of Mansfield. However, Mordecai did not notice
that within the leather folder that he had stolen for it money,
he had taken top secret Confederate Battle Plans. Making him
and all around targets of the few remaining Confederates,
as well as an organization known as the "Knights of the
Golden Circle." He is a skilled mechanic, rifleman, and
speaks fluent Cajun French.
Dr. Rupert P. Ophilio
Occupation: Chief Medical Officer and Weapons Smith
Not mush is know about the crazed Dr. Ophilio, other than he is mad and a genius of the scientific field. His birth place and early life are unknown, but due to slips of the tongue it can be assumed he is Prussian, though he lack the accent. He is fond of experimenting and building whatever his mind decides to fancy at that moment, which results in a large amount of unfinished and half working project littering the Miro. Ophilio is fan of beer, especially anything from the German states. It should be noted that Dr. Ophilio also has a disdain for the French, Dutch, and Spanish, the reasons for his nationalistic hate are currently unknown. He is currently the chief weapons smith and medical officer or the Miro. So he has made himself useful, preventing the rest of the crew from throwing his crazy ass overboard.
.454

Union soldier whom served in the civil war, but after Gettysburg-- his arm was severed by cannon

give the maimed their lives back done by a German immigrant named-- Doctor
Kugelblitz. Saving every cent he could, he sought out Dr. Kugelblitz to restore
his former right arm—he nearly dies on the operating table from too much ether.
Upon awakening, his arm was replaced with a fine machine of German engineering.
2 years after, he gained a notable reputation among outlaws and the underworld.

He ended up on the Miro so he could get out of the little nothing town he had recently found himself in at the time, and has since become the ships translator. He is not much good in a fight, but he does have knowledge of how to deal with other cultures.
Balthazaar
Occupation: Snake oil salesman, Promoter
Not much is know about Balthazaar except he is an odd and slightly unsettling creature. He is the bastard offspring of the occult and clockwork. He is as smooth as a new born baby's butt, but smells not much better. He openly admits he is somewhere between a zombie and an grandfather clock, however eating the living does not appeal to him. Though selling stuff to them is just fine.
